UPA College NationalsMélée repeated a 5th-8th finish with a trip to quarter finals in nationals. We held games according to our 6th place seed and played a lot of great ultimate even in the rainy games.

Texas SectionalsMélée travelled down to Houston to play sectionals at Rice. We won the tournament giving us the top bid for regionals, but we definitely felt the pressure of two good teams, especially in the A&M game where they took half 5-8. Great playing Rice and A&M, and good luck at regionals.

Stanford
Another great tournament, Mélée went 4-3 with stiff competition and took fifth beating a seventh seed despite a trip to the emergency room and playing with only nine ladies on Sunday.

Mardis Gras
Mélée won the Mardis Gras tournament going 9-0 for the two days of play. Tournament champions kind of says it all--a great weekend.

President's Day

Club Sectionals - Austin, TX
Although Mélée had players on a number of co-ed teams as well, the majority played either with Mélée or Buttercup. Mélée put in a good showing with only eight players by beating Rice, scoring five points in the second half against Zanzara, and making the game against Buttercup take "a long time." Buttercup ruled the day, and we wish them good luck at Regionals.
